Ellen Burchenal is an artist who makes paintings, drawings, and prints. An instructor for the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Burchenal also directs and co-teaches the MICA Summer Travel Intensive Program in Sorrento, Italy. A recipient of several Maryland State Arts Council Artist Fellowships, Burchenal has exhibited and lectured in galleries and universities throughout the region and in Italy. She lives with her husband and son in Baltimore, Maryland.
